Yes, you read that right. We’re Bubba and Mackenzie, and it’s our job to make you feel welcome and at ease while Melissa treats your skin. We’re hypoallergenic, and we promise, you’ll love us as much as you love your beautiful, glowing skin.
This is my very 1st facial, what should I expect?
Melissa is always honored to work with first-time facial clients. A facial should be a pleasant and relaxing experience that guides you toward your desired skincare goals.
We can’t wait to meet you, and we’ll give you a warm welcome when you arrive. (And we have easy driveway parking available!) Melissa will do a thorough consultation to go over your skincare history, making sure we are on the same page for your skincare goals. There is never judgment toward any of your skincare choices.
Melissa does her very best to prepare you with all the information and put you at ease. Whether this is your first facial or our first time working together, she is very considerate of your skin. The three of us pride ourselves on building the trust of each and every client.
How much is your facial?
Melissa aims to keep it simple and straightforward so that you can fully relax and enjoy the entire experience! A 75-minute facial is $120. That’s the full cost—no upgrades or upselling of services. Each facial is specifically tailored to your personal skin condition and skincare goals. If your skin is in need of a particular treatment or device, it will be automatically included in your treatment at no extra charge.
Why steam free?
All the products Melissa uses activate on their own. The old way of needing steam to activate products is long gone. Steaming your face can actually cause inflammation and we don’t want that! With the steam free facial, you will get more anti-aging properties and get that glowing skin without the heat. Don’t worry, extractions are easy peasy even without the steam.
Do you sell skincare product?
Yes, Melissa carries 2 professional skincare lines.
Hale & Hush – a line formulated for sensitive and sensitized skin
Skin Script – a line that is botanically based
Both lines are cruelty free and don’t test on animals, which, as dogs, we really appreciate! Both lines also contain products that are vegan and/or gluten-free. You can always reach out to Melissa with questions about these products. There is never pressure to purchase these products. They are available for your convenience, as Melissa feels confident in their high-quality ingredients and their ability to make improvements to your skin.
Melissa is always happy to advise on other products that you are more comfortable with.
Do you work on teenagers?
Absolutely, we offer a modified version of the standard facial:
It is a 45-minute facial for $72…because we understand that teenagers don’t have the patience to lie still for 75 minutes!
Should men shave before a facial?
You don’t have to. If you arrive with a beard or stubble, that’s fine. But if you choose to, please shave 6-8 hours prior to the facial.
Can I work out after a facial?
Well…we’d rather you didn’t. Melissa works hard to clean your skin and give it the care it needs, and a workout would remove all the layers of products just applied. It would also be best to avoid heating up your body for at least the rest of the day.
Do I need to put on sunscreen after my facial?
No. If the sun is still up, every client leaves wearing SPF 30.
Do you have a cancellation policy?
Yes. We have a 24-hour cancellation policy. It is very difficult to rebook an appointment on short notice. So to be respectful of our time, if you cancel within 24 hours of your appointment time, you will be charged $50. Thank you for understanding.
