You don’t have to love your skin but I would like you to be kind to your skin. Treat yourself the same way you would treat someone you really care about.
This Valentine’s Day give yourself a little love and cut yourself some slack. We are often so hard on ourselves thinking we don’t or could never measure up to these invisible standards that have been created for us but not by us.
Let’s start this new love affair with ourselves by removing the pressure of a complicated skincare routine. I mean if you LOVE doing ALL the skincare routine things then by all means do them. But for the rest of us, mere mortals that prefer to watch TV over washing our faces let’s love a simple routine. (The bare minimum is totally acceptable.)
Here are a few easy steps to loving your skin:
Don’t compare yourself
Not to skinfluencers, friends, siblings not even to me. Everyone’s life and schedule and priorities differ.
Don’t criticize your own routine.
Life is busy. It’s hard to get your entire To Do List done PLUS a multi-step skincare routine.
Keep your routine simple.
You can see amazing results if you do just a few things consistently rather than many things once in a while.
You are already gorgeous be sure to remember to tell yourself so.
